  Dress Summer Up
Dress Mania
hair style piece 4 love

Today was a marvelous day shooting in the sun with Marie.
I love the dress from Mania, which you have seen before.
And enjoy that I can use it differently by dressing up & down.

This time I dressed it up with my stylish jacket from bruuns bazar … and my shoes from Paris

the jacket is more than 8 years old, I but it for appr. 10 eur in an outlet because it has no belt

which I realized made me use it less than I hoped

but I still use it for special occasion
but not enough,,, I have to be better using things I have!

and I know… sorry… I still ow you a story
about the shoes…
coming up…. next time

I hope you enjoyed my hair, which I made in less than five minutes

&
I am proud
because as you probably remember
I normally have my pony tale

or my hair hanging lose….

which I concluded was a bit to much some posts ago…

so as you can see,,, I use my own medicine on myself

work a little on my dream of

Looking Good & Saving the World

by saving myself first.

And I am so happy Marie is there to support me.

Working from Anywhere

Working Anywhere IMG_0311 IMG_0314IMG_0315

Yes, it is possible to work from anywhere today.

As long as you have your phone.

In the home made bag I have an extra shirt,

due to the cold weather, and I have my

agenda, my pen and extra stuff.

Sometimes I only work from home

and sometimes I am out catching ideas,

searching for new trends and new areas in how

to make better communication.

The skirt is actually a double skirt from Wolford

and the shirt is from Margittes,

last year collection.

The little clutch from Brics is my own,
and of course I took the opportunity to

borrow Maries clutch,,,, the pink one.

I love it.

To Let Go of Things You Really Love

“but I really Love it”, “but it is transparent all over”

these are some of the thoughts when I look at this dress

for the 20ieth thousand time..

And as long as I am in doubt I can’t let go of the dress,

I have thought about using the material inside a homemade bag…

but I am still doubting…

take a judge yourself

and let me & Marie know.. more facts about the dress below

first pictures:

Yellow Unique Dress IMAG1254 IMAG1255

the dress is from Bech Olander, Danish Designers from Copenhagen

who do not exist any more.

The dress is one of a kind,,, so now you maybe understand my doubt

The shoes are from Paris, and the have a great story I promise to tell you about.

The clutch is Maries,,, and It is far from first time you guys see that on,,,
I always find an occasion to make it fit my look for the day.

So what do you think ?

– Should Anna keep the dress as it is?

 – Pass it on to somebody else?

– Or use the material as linning for a homemade bag?

– Or something else?

Let us know your opinion…

Hearts of Unika in My Mind

I love Unika & I love Hearts

So when Marie and I went out for this photoshot,

with my unika jumpsuit from Carlend, the heart in

the wall of tree just fitted perfectly to the shoot.

All items are some I had for years,

  • the sunglasses from DIOR 2010 or 11,
  • the Lola shoes from 2008 or before and
  • the bag from Malling and Mekka from 2006,

which originally was camel, but I dropped a pen

in the bag,,, and a blue spot was to be colored with the

    black nav ink.

Clog for Fun

How funny is this, a little clog, only one.

And why do we sell this on our shop?

Because it is unique there is only one,
and it is made in Denmark for an English shoe brand…
Kennedy Shoes, who has made shoes since 1865.

Anna found it in at her friends home on its way to the  garbage… but since Anna hates to throw out things, she thought, “HEY we can upcycle it!” So here it is, vintage clog from Kennedy Shoes, we do not know when it is from, but it is definitely a piece 4 love

Clog SONY DSC SONY DSC   If you would like to purchase the clog you can find it here, but remember there is only one =)

Piece 4 Beauty

The best thing you ever can do is to eat as natural food as possible –

and to use products from nature.

Sand & Coconut Oil Your Secret Weapon

In the summer time going to the beach,
you can use the sand to scrub your legs and your feet.

Do it as the first thing arriving at the beach before using
anything on your body.

– After scrubbing your (dry) legs with sand, take a quick tour
in the water brushing the sand and the dead skin of.
– Dry yourself in the sun for 10 minutes, find a good place to sit and use organic coconut oil as moisture and sun blocker.

You can use the coconut oil on the rest of your body, also in your face.
Even as an aftersun.
You can eat it and even brush your teeth with coconut oil.

And it smells so good.

Find more knowledge about the coconut oil here

Can you imagine how happy I got figuring out, that I do not need 19 types of products with me on vacation. I can bring coconut oil, and that’s it.

Tell me what you think about it, if you already use coconut oil –

and tell me what holds you back from trying.

It is nature, it makes you look good and save the world…

Do it

I am just beside you

Look of the Week: Stinne Gorell & Patrizia Pepe

lookbook piece 4 love Stinne Gorell
Granny Poncho by Stinne Gorell

The need for warm stuff in my wardrobe

The look of the week is a little off season… normally I would show summer items, but the weather in Denmark is so not to rely on, so I need to make sure I have something for the fresh and windy evenings.

The shoes from Bertie, I have had for a couple of years now, maybe 3, I only use them for some occasions, since I mostly wear flats or sneaks. But Bertie is good at making at comfy small heeled shoes.

My pants from Patrizia Pepe are one of my biggest pieces 4 love at the moment, made of wool, silk and polyester. They are good for work and for going out.

The Granny Poncho from Stinne Gorell is handmade in Denmark and made of 100% alpaca wool.

The sweat below the Poncho is a classic round neck of 100% Merino Wool.

As you know I buy seldom new pieces to my closet, but the Patrizia Pepe pants I bought in May on sale in a very fancy shop in Illum, and they were on 70%, I ended up paying less than 50 eur since I also had some points on my bonus card for that shop. So even if I wear the pants so much that they die before the year is over, I still made a good choice in buying pants that fits for several situations in my life. They make me feel comfortable and by that I look good.

I tried to find the same pants at the official Patrizia Pepe shop, I couldn’t, but oohh my they have a lot of other nice things on sale

The Granny Poncho from Stinne Gorell is an accessible piece 4 love since it is not something I found on sale

… believe it or not…

Stinne Gorell is one of the Designers in Denmark, who by her business model really tries to make you look good and save the world.

Which is why we at Piece 4 love help her sell her items… if you like the idea of making products by fair trade and respect for nature..

take a look at Stinne Gorell’s items at the shop.

Piece 4 love earns 10% of the shop price,

These money will be brought into piece 4 love, in order to make more nice stuff for you.

The rest 90 % goes to Stinne Gorell in order for her to expand fair trade business and responsible behavior.

Why buy ? When you can borrow!

This post is dedicated to friends who let you borrow their pieces because

they do not use that piece anymore. It can be a shirt, a jewelry or in this

post it is a bag.

Actually it is because me and Marie (cowriter on piece 4 love) has borrowed something from one and another.

She borrowed my briefcase from Carlend and I borrowed her bag from

Mandarina Duck.

And I just love this bag. First of all, it is not quite mine, so I take extra

good care of it. I know Marie takes good care of my Carlend piece.

Borrowing things from one another –
is good for the earth.

So it is good for the long lasting live cycles to borrow things from

one another. It is responsible behavior.

The other good thing is, that the bags are not hiding somewhere,

collecting dust. It is in use, and that is what pieces are for.

The last good thing is that when I do not use the piece anymore

I just give it back to Marie. And if I need the briefcase from Carlend for

a given occasion I just call Marie.

You save money, and you save production every time you reuse a piece

or let other people use it for you. Saving your things in your wardrobe

just make them fade and look strange. Trust me…
if you do not, have a look here

Saving the world is a big quest, but by doing little efforts everyday

it is possible. And it makes us look good.

Whether or not you would like to borrow out your stuff or borrow from

other, just rethink before you buy… maybe you already do have one thing

in your wardrobe that fulfill your momental need.

Use or things or let other…..

The Bag; new topic on piece 4 love by Marie

Introduction to my term of a bag

The bag is like a long time friend, you can bring with you everywhere. Many of us use a bag everyday and couldn’t imagine a life without it. Its essential for us to have something to carry our stuff around in – and therefor a bag comes in many shapes and materials to fit the right purpose. I am inclined to say you can never have to much of a good thing, but then again I have little over 150 bags, purses/wallets and suitcases which I have consumed/accumulated through the past 20 years of my life. Other women have a weakness for shoes, jewellery etc. but bags are my biggest weakness, it has been like that ever since I was a little girl, and I fell in love for the very first time, in the cutest light blue plastic basket that I just had to have – I did get it and I had it with me everywhere, even though I most admit my mom had to carry it for me most days by the end of the day as fatigue would creep up on me *giggles* the pleasure of being a child.

Growing up with bags

As I grew older I have come to discover that bags come in many shapes and therefor have different uses, in this part of the blog is where I will guide you through the world of bags, because it can be a jungle to find the right one at times, I will also make an additional guide about the materials that bags are made of and how to care for them. So you can renew their look and make sure it’s a bag you will have for many years to come/be a bag for life. Look Good & Save the World with The perfect Bag
